Belmont betting enthusiasts looking to continue handicapping sports after the conclusion of the Triple Crown this weekend should look no further than the MLB. Annually beginning in April and concluding in October, MLB betting enthusiasts have become some of the most profitable bettors in the industry, because of the excruciatingly long season. With 15 games on the card today, here are a couple of games bettors should have their sights set on when placing a bet.

Arizona Diamondbacks at Pittsburgh Pirates – In any other season, we would have recommended you avoided this game at all costs. However, over the last three weeks, the Arizona Diamondbacks have gone into beast mode, as they have won roughly 20 of their last 28 games. In this matchup, the Diamondbacks send Zach Duke to the mound to take on Paul Maholm and the Pittsburgh Pirates. For another consecutive season, the Pirates are making an early season bid at the NL Central crown, but still have a long way to go.

The trends associated with this game are as follows, the Arizona Diamondbacks are an impressive 25 – 14 under the total in night games. Conversely, the Pittsburgh Pirates own a team starts record of one and nine when the total of the game is between seven to eight and a half runs. For all intents and purposes, take the under in this game, and the Diamondbacks to win the game.

Detroit Tigers at Texas Rangers – This game features two of the biggest teams to fly under the radar over the last few seasons. It may sound like a betonline scam, but the Texas Rangers are the former American League Champions. Conversely, the Tigers have had many peaks and valleys during the last couple of seasons while missing the playoffs.

In this evening’s matchup, the Tigers send Phil Coke to the mound to face off with Alexi Ogando. Ironically, the Tigers and Rangers share identical records of eight and one over the total, when the Tigers bullpen hasn’t given up a run in the previous outing, and the Rangers face a left hander starter.
