The betting has begun on the college football regular season, and that means that the speculating has begun on who will play in the 2012 BCS Bowl for the National Championship. There are a lot of names getting thrown around as potential challengers to the title won by Auburn last year. The Auburn Tigers are not favored to win the BCS Bowl this year as they lost many of their key players to the NFL in the draft. But there are plenty of other teams that are ready to take Auburn’s spot.
Oregon Ducks Last year, the Ducks looked like they were ready to take off and challenge for the BCS title but started to fall short towards the end of the season. With a year of experience under their belts, the football betting online public thinks that this could be the year of the Duck.
LSU Tigers Louisiana is known for its bass fishing tips and college football excellence. With a solid offense highlighted by an exciting passing game, the Tigers will be challenging for a spot in the BCS Bowl when December rolls around.
Oklahoma Sooners The Sooners are considered by many to be the odds-on favorites to make the BCS Bowl and win it all. The Sooners’ offense can grind the ball on the ground and the defense is able to shut down the opposing passing game while stuffing the run.
Alabama Crimson Tide The Tide is also a heavy favorite to make it to the BCS Bowl, but this may be more of a sentimental favorite than anything else. Alabama’s defense is second to none, but its offense is not National Championship caliber.
